How do I install InkCheck?
After purchase, you'll receive your license key and Mac installer. Open the disk image, drag InkCheck to Applications, then enter the key to activate. The current release is for Apple silicon Macs. You can also download the installer here.
Where can I find my key or change Macs?
Open the customer portal and sign in with the email you used at checkout. You can copy your license key and release an old Mac's activation to make room for a new one. If you need help, email support.
Does InkCheck send PDFs to a server?
No. PDF scanning and previews run locally. Activation needs a connection once; update checks are optional.
Does inspection alter the source file?
No. Spot ink renaming, when used, saves a new PDF and leaves the source unchanged.
Is this a PDF/X validator or colour conversion tool?
No. It reports PDF/X metadata claims and profile information, but it does not certify PDF/X conformance or convert colours between ICC profiles or Pantone systems.
Will it run on Intel Macs or Windows?
The current installer runs on Apple silicon Macs. Intel Mac and Windows versions are planned, but do not have release dates yet.
What happens after 12 months?
InkCheck keeps working on your activated Macs. Your purchase includes app updates for 12 months from the purchase date; after that, the installed version remains yours to use.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email gabriel@kaltos.co within 30 days of purchase, using the email address you used at checkout, and we'll arrange a full refund.
